QUANTUM~VERITAS International University Systems, "QVIUS," is an academic institution that teaches age-old principles found through the healing arts like Ayurveda, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, and Indigenous Healing modalities. It all started in 1973 when the University of Pasadena School of Chiropractic was founded. This institution became the Pasadena College of Chiropractic in 1983 and the Southern California College of Chiropractic in 1989. In 1994, Dr. Edwin C. Floyd, a graduate of the initial University of Pasadena School of Chiropractic and president of the International College of Homeopathy, founded in 1990 to offer education and training in Classical Homeopathy, was appointed president of Southern California College whose name was changed to QUANTUM University in1995. In 1998, the institution joined the VERITAS International University, founded in 1997 by the late Attorney David Prescott, D.C., to provide education and training in Natural Medicine. The joining created QUANTUM~VERITAS International University Systems, now called "QVIUS," an integral component within the expanding vision of health care and education in life, health, and healing. The core belief at QVIUS is that which created the body can heal and maintain the body. If one puts in the work, the body has the natural and dynamic ability to self-govern and heal. QVIUS isdedicated to producing committed individuals who can make a difference in the growth of health outside ofthe fight against diseases. Their ultimate vision is to heal humanity one individual at a time, by any means necessary and by the most trustworthy means.
In 1922, Chiropractors, Drugless Practitioners, Naturopaths, and other California healthcare practitioners joined under the Chiropractic calling to create one licensed professional healthcare system that was to be
separate and distinct from Western Medicine. Collectively, the methods and modalities that were not recognized by the orthodox medical community were identified within the scope of “Chiropractic” and branded by Orthodox Western Medicine as “quack medicine” as these methods of healing are built upon dynamic “VITALISTIC” principles.
The curriculum leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree served as the standard for non-orthodox
medical training. It was the basis of Classical Chiropractic and Traditional Naturopathy. The new profession
of Somiatry built on the Doctor of Chiropractic curriculum includes additional training in the areas of
nutrition, kinesiology, herbology, homeopathy, somatic techniques, and the healing modalities and methods
of meridian therapy, ayurvedic, and mind/body healing. All these courses fall within the scope of the
chiropractic license. QVIUS presents the Credential, Disciplined in Dynamic Integral Medica (DDIM) to the
Doctor of Chiropractic and other disciplined healthcare professionals to round out their mission to heal. The full spectrum of Classical Chiropractic, Traditional Naturopathy, and other Vitalistic, Dynamic healing methods and modalities falls within the practice of “Somiatry”.
The Mission of Healing encompasses Five Fundamental Laws of Healing: Dynamic, Chemistry, Contraries,
Similars, Structure, and Function. Over the years, each law became its own profession. The practice of
Chiropractic became primarily focused on the appropriate application of one law, the Law of Structure and
Function; Chemistry became the profession of Naturopathy, Dynamics became Acupuncture, Similars
became Homeopathy, and Contraries were Western medicine. The expanded curriculum of Somiatry offers a whole body of training in the appropriate application of all Five Healing Laws: Biodynamic, Biochemistry,
Contraries, Similars, Structure, and Function.
QVIUS continues to expand its programs to offer courses, including Dynamic Spiritual Healing and other
vocational programs. QVIUS remains committed to producing committed individuals willing to make a
difference in the mission to heal humanity one individual at a time, by any means necessary and by the most trustworthy means. QVIUS remains dedicated to teaching and expanding the principles of Dynamic Healing and is committed to teaching the age-old vitalistic principles common to the healing arts of Ayurveda, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, and the healing Arts of most other Indigenous Healing practices. These healing arts promote and sustain health by facilitating the body’s natural self-healing potential.
